25 “And I will make a (A)covenant of peace with them and (B)eliminate harmful animals from the land, so that they may (C)live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26 I will make them and the places around My hill a (D)blessing. And I will make (E)showers fall in their season; they will be showers of (F)blessing. 27 Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its produce, and they will be (G)secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have (H)broken the bars of their yoke and have saved them from the hand of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be plunder to the nations, and the animals of the earth will not devour them; but they will (I)live securely, and no one will make them afraid. 29 I will establish for them a (J)renowned planting place, and they will (K)not again be [a]victims of famine in the land, and they will not (L)endure the insults of the nations anymore. 30 Then they will know that (M)I, the Lord their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,” declares the Lord God. 31 “As for you, My (N)sheep, [b]the (O)sheep of My pasture, you are mankind, and I am your God,” declares the Lord God.

The Lord’s Covenant of Peace

25 “I will make a covenant of peace with my people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear. 26 I will bless my people and their homes around my holy hill. And in the proper season I will send the showers they need. There will be showers of blessing. 27 The orchards and fields of my people will yield bumper crops, and everyone will live in safety. When I have broken their chains of slavery and rescued them from those who enslaved them, then they will know that I am the Lord. 28 They will no longer be prey for other nations, and wild animals will no longer devour them. They will live in safety, and no one will frighten them.

29 “And I will make their land famous for its crops, so my people will never again suffer from famines or the insults of foreign nations. 30 In this way, they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them. And they will know that they, the people of Israel, are my people, says the Sovereign Lord. 31 You are my flock, the sheep of my pasture. You are my people, and I am your God. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
