Ezekiel 2:3-8

3 Then He said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have (A)rebelled against Me; (B)they and their fathers have revolted against Me to this very day. 4 So I am sending you to those who are [a](C)impudent and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Lord [b]God says:’ 5 As for them, (D)whether they listen or [c]not—for they are a rebellious house—they will (E)know that a prophet has been among them. 6 And as for you, son of man, you are (F)not to fear them nor fear their words, though (G)thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house. 7 But you shall (H)speak My words to them (I)whether they listen or [d]not, for they are rebellious.
8 “Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth wide and (J)eat what I am giving you.”

3 And he said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to a nation[a] of rebels, who have rebelled against me; they and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day. 4 The people also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them; and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ 5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that there has been a prophet among them. 6 And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you sit upon scorpions; be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. 7 And you shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear; for they are a rebellious house.
8 “But you, son of man, hear what I say to you; be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth, and eat what I give you.”
