Proclamation against Moab
8 “Thus says the Lord God: Because Moab[a] said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations, 9 therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities[b] on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jesh′imoth, Ba′al-me′on, and Kiriatha′im. 10 I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it[c] may be remembered no more among the nations, 11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

8 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations; 9 therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are [a]on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim, 10 [b]unto the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations: 11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
