34 The Lord said to Moses, (A)“Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (of each shall there be an equal part), 35 and make an (B)incense blended as by the (C)perfumer, (D)seasoned with salt, pure and holy. 36 You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting (E)where I shall meet with you. (F)It shall be most holy for you. 37 And the incense that you shall make (G)according to its composition, you shall not make for yourselves. It shall be for you holy to the Lord. 38 (H)Whoever makes any like it to use as perfume shall be cut off from his people.”

The Incense

34 The Lord told Moses, “Take for yourself spices: stacte, onycha, galbanum, and spices with pure frankincense, all in equal amounts. 35 You are to make it into a fragrant incense, expertly[a] blended,[b] pure, and holy. 36 You are to grind some of it fine, and put some before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting where I will meet with you. It is to be most holy to you. 37 You are not to make the incense that you make in this formulation for your own use. It is to be holy to the Lord for you. 38 Anyone who makes anything like it to use it as perfume is to be cut off from his people.”
