Exodus 17:14-16

14 And Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in the scroll and recite it in the hearing of[a] Joshua, because I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.”
15 And Moses built an altar, and he called its name Yahweh Is My Banner. 16 And he said, “Because a hand was against the throne of Yah,[b] a war will be for Yahweh with Amalek from generation to generation.”

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a reminder on a scroll and read it to Joshua: I will completely wipe out the memory of Amalek under the sky.”
15 Moses built an altar there and called it, “The Lord is my banner.” 16 He said, “The power of the Lord’s banner![a] The Lord is at war with Amalek in every generation.”
