44 Now this is the law[a] that Moses set before[b] the Israelites;[c] 45 these are the legal provisions and the rules and the regulations that Moses spoke to the Israelites[d] when they left Egypt,[e] 46 beyond the Jordan in the valley opposite Beth Peor in the land of Sihon the king of the Amorites,[f] who was reigning in Heshbon and whom Moses and the Israelites[g] defeated when they came out of Egypt.[h] 47 And so they took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites[i] who were beyond the Jordan, eastward,[j] 48 from Aroer, which is on the bank of the wadi[k] of Arnon and as far as Mount Sirion; that is, Hermon, 49 and all of the Arabah[l] beyond the Jordan, eastward, and as far as the Sea of the Arabah[m] under the slopes of Pisgah.

44 And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel: 45 these are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, when they came forth out of Egypt, 46 beyond the Jordan, in the valley over against Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, when they came forth out of Egypt. 47 And they took his land in possession, and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, who were beyond the Jordan toward the sunrising; 48 from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, even unto mount Sion (the same is Hermon), 49 and all the Arabah beyond the Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the Arabah, under the [a]slopes of Pisgah.
