Deuteronomy 1:5-8

New International Version

⁵East of the Jordan in the territory of Moab,^(A) Moses began to expound this law, saying:

⁶The Lord our God said to us^(B) at Horeb,^(C) “You have stayed long enough^(D) at this mountain. ⁷Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites;^(E) go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah,^(F) in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev^(G) and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites^(H) and to Lebanon,^(I) as far as the great river, the Euphrates.^(J) ⁸See, I have given you this land^(K).^(L) Go in and take possession of the land the Lord swore^(M) he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”

⁵East of the Jordan River, in the land of Moab, Moses began to expound this Law: ⁶“The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb. He said, ‘You have been at this mountain long enough. ⁷Break camp,^[a] get going, and proceed to the hill country of the Amorites and all the nearby places in the Arabah desert, the highlands, the foothills, the Negev,^[b] the coastal plains, all of the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon as far as the great river, the Euphrates. ⁸Look! I’ve given you the land that lies ahead. Go in and possess the land that I, the Lord, promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as well as to their descendants.’”
