“And you must keep all of the commandments[a] that I am commanding you today,[b] so that you may have strength and you may go and you may take possession of that land to which you are crossing[c] to take possession of it, so that you may live long[d] on the land that Yahweh swore to your ancestors,[e] to give it to them and to their offspring, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 For the fact is that the land that you are about to go into[f] to take possession of it is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come out of,[g] where you sow your seed and you give water by your foot, as in a vegetable garden.[h] 11 But the land that you are about to cross into to take possession of it is a land of hills and valleys, and by the rain of the heaven it drinks water, 12 a land that Yahweh your God is caring for it; continually the eyes of Yahweh your God are on it, from the beginning of the year up to the end of the year.

“Keep every command I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to cross into and possess the land you are to inherit, and so that you may live long in the land the Lord swore to your fathers to give them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.(A) 10 For the land you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and irrigated by hand[a] as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are entering to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, watered by rain from the sky. 12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for. He is always watching over it from the beginning to the end of the year.
