Daniel 12:5-13
New American Standard Bible
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others were standing, one on this bank of the stream and the other on that bank of the stream. 6 And (A)someone said to the man (B)dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, “(C)How long will it be until the end of these wonders?” 7 And I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, [a]as he (D)raised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by (E)Him who lives forever that it would be for a [b](F)time, [c]times, and half a [d]time; and as soon as [e]they finish (G)smashing the [f]power of the holy people, all these events will be completed. 8 But as for me, I heard but did not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the [g]outcome of these events?” 9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words will be kept secret and (H)sealed up until the end time. 10 (I)Many will be purged, [h]cleansed, and refined, but the (J)wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but [i]those who (K)have insight will understand. 11 And from the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the (L)abomination [j]of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 (M)Blessed is the one who is patient and attains to the (N)1,335 days! 13 But as for you, go your way to the [k]end; then you will (O)rest and [l]rise for your (P)allotted portion at the end of the [m]age.”

Waiting for the end time
5 I, Daniel, looked and suddenly saw two other figures—one standing on each side of the stream. 6 One said to the man clothed in white linen, who was farther upstream: “When will these astonishing things be over?”
7 I heard the man clothed in white linen, who was farther upstream, swear by the one who lives forever as he raised both hands to heaven: “For one set time, two set times, and half a set time. When the breaking of the holy people’s power is over, all these things will be over.”
8 I heard it, but I didn’t understand it. “My lord,” I said, “what will happen after all this?”
9 He said, “Get going now, Daniel, because these words must remain secret and sealed up until the end time. 10 Many will purify, cleanse, and refine themselves, but the wicked will act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but those skilled in wisdom will understand. 11 There will be one thousand two hundred ninety days from the time the daily sacrifice is stopped to the setting up of the desolating monstrosity. 12 Happy is the one who waits and reaches one thousand three hundred thirty-five days. 13 Now as for you, go on to the end. You will rest and will stand to receive your reward at the end of days.”
