The Death of Solomon

29 As for the remainder of the words of Solomon from the first to the last, are they not written in the chronicles[a] of Nathan the prophet and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer, concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat? 30 And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years. 31 And Solomon slept with his ancestors,[b] and they buried him in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.

Solomon’s Reign Ends

29 The rest of the events of Solomon’s reign, from start to finish, are recorded[a] in the Annals of Nathan the Prophet, the Prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and the Vision of Iddo the Seer pertaining to Jeroboam son of Nebat. 30 Solomon ruled over all Israel from Jerusalem for forty years. 31 Then Solomon passed away[b] and was buried in the city of his father David. His son Rehoboam replaced him as king.
