Kohathites

¹²The sons of Kohath:^(A)

Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel—four in all.

¹³The sons of Amram:^(B)

Aaron and Moses.

Aaron was set apart,^(C) he and his descendants forever, to consecrate the most holy things, to offer sacrifices before the Lord, to minister^(D) before him and to pronounce blessings^(E) in his name forever. ¹⁴The sons of Moses the man^(F) of God were counted as part of the tribe of Levi.

¹⁵The sons of Moses:

Gershom and Eliezer.^(G)

¹⁶The descendants of Gershom:^(H)

Shubael was the first.

¹⁷The descendants of Eliezer:

Rehabiah^(I) was the first.

Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.

¹⁸The sons of Izhar:

Shelomith^(J) was the first.

¹⁹The sons of Hebron:^(K)

Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.

²⁰The sons of Uzziel:

Micah the first and Ishiah the second.

¹²^(A)The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel—four in all. ¹³The sons of ^(B)Amram: Aaron and Moses; and ^(C)Aaron was set apart, he and his sons forever, that he should ^[a]sanctify the most holy things, ^(D)to burn incense before the Lord, ^(E)to minister to Him, and ^(F)to give the blessing in His name forever. ¹⁴Now ^(G)the sons of Moses the man of God were reckoned to the tribe of Levi. ¹⁵^(H)The sons of Moses were ^[b]Gershon and Eliezer. ¹⁶Of the sons of Gershon, ^(I)Shebuel^[c] was the first. ¹⁷Of the descendants of Eliezer, ^(J)Rehabiah was the first. And Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many. ¹⁸Of the sons of Izhar, ^(K)Shelomith was the first. ¹⁹^(L)Of the sons of Hebron, Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth. ²⁰Of the sons of Uzziel, Michah was the first and Jesshiah the second.
