²³ And Jesus said unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, It is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. ²⁴ And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁵ And when the disciples heard it, they were astonished exceedingly, saying, Who then can be saved? ²⁶ And Jesus looking upon them said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. ²⁷ Then answered Peter and said unto him, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee; what then shall we have? ²⁸ And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, ^[a]or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive ^[b]a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life. ³⁰ But many shall be last that are first; and first that are last.

²³ And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁴ And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it ^[a]for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁶ And they were astonished exceedingly, saying ^[b]unto him, Then who can be saved? ²⁷ Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God. ²⁸ Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. ²⁹ Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the ^[c]gospel’s sake, ³⁰ but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the ^[d]world to come eternal life. ³¹ But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

²⁴ And Jesus seeing him said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁶ And they that heard it said, Then who can be saved? ²⁷ But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. ²⁸ And Peter said, Lo, we have left ^[a]our own, and followed thee. ²⁹ And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, ³⁰ who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the ^[b]world to come eternal life.

²⁸ But ye are they that have continued with me in my temptations; ²⁹ and ^[a]I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me, ³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
