² But he answered and said unto them, ^[a]When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the heaven is red. ³ And in the morning, It will be foul weather to-day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye know how to discern the face of the heaven; but ye cannot discern the signs of the times.

⁵⁴ And he said to the multitudes also, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it cometh to pass. ⁵⁵ And when ye see a south wind blowing, ye say, There will be a ^[a]scorching heat; and it cometh to pass. ⁵⁶ Ye hypocrites, ye know how to ^[b]interpret the face of the earth and the heaven; but how is it that ye know not how to ^[c]interpret this time?
