27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, “(A)Though the number of the sons of Israel may be (B)like the sand of the sea, only (C)the remnant will be saved; 28 (D)for the Lord will execute His word on the earth, [a]thoroughly and [b]quickly.” 29 And just as Isaiah foretold:

(E)If (F)the Lord [c]of armies had not left us [d](G)descendants,
(H)We would have become like Sodom, and would have [e]been like Gomorrah.”

29 It is just as Isaiah said previously:
