⁶ and has ^(A)made us ^[a]kings and priests to His God and Father, ^(B)to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁶ Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such ^(A)the second death has no power, but they shall be ^(B)priests of God and of Christ, ^(C)and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

⁶ And you shall be to Me a ^(A)kingdom of priests and a ^(B)holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

Living Sacrifices to God

12 I ^(A)beseech^[a] you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies ^(B)a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your ^[b]reasonable service.

⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,

⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who ^[a]are disobedient,

⁸ and

^(D)They stumble, being disobedient to the word, ^(E)to which they also were appointed.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of ^(F)darkness into His marvelous light;
