The Psalmist’s Profession of Uprightness.

A Psalm of David.

101 I will (A)sing of mercy and [a]justice;
To You, Lord, I will sing praises.
I will (B)carefully attend to the [b]blameless way.
When will You come to me?
I will walk within my house in the [c](C)integrity of my heart.
I will set no (D)worthless thing before my eyes;
I hate the [d]work of those who (E)fall away;
It shall not cling to me.
A (F)perverse heart shall leave me;
I will know no evil.
Whoever secretly (G)slanders his neighbor, him I will [e]destroy;
I will not endure one who has a (H)haughty look and an arrogant heart.

My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me;
One who walks in a [f](I)blameless way is one who will serve me.
One who (J)practices deceit shall not dwell within my house;
One who speaks lies (K)shall not [g]maintain his position before me.
(L)Every morning I will [h](M)destroy all the wicked of the land,
So as to (N)eliminate from the (O)city of the Lord all those who do injustice.

Prayer of an Afflicted Man for Mercy on Himself and on Zion.

A Prayer of the afflicted when he is weak and [i]pours out his complaint before the Lord.

102 (P)Hear my prayer, Lord!
And let my cry for help (Q)come to You.
(R)Do not hide Your face from me on the day of my distress;
(S)Incline Your ear to me;
On the day when I call (T)answer me quickly.
For my days (U)have ended in smoke,
And my (V)bones have been scorched like a hearth.
My heart (W)has been struck like [j]grass and has (X)withered,
Indeed, I (Y)forget to eat my bread.
Because of the [k]loudness of my groaning
My (Z)bones [l]cling to my flesh.
I resemble a (AA)pelican of the wilderness;
I have become like an owl of the ruins.
I (AB)lie awake,
I have become like a solitary bird on a housetop.

My enemies (AC)have taunted me all day long;
Those who [m](AD)deride me [n]have used my name as a (AE)curse.
For I have eaten ashes like bread,
And (AF)mixed my drink with weeping
10 (AG)Because of Your indignation and Your wrath;
For You have (AH)lifted me up and thrown me away.
11 My days are like a [o](AI)lengthened shadow,
And [p]I (AJ)wither away like [q]grass.

12 But You, Lord, [r](AK)remain forever,
And Your [s](AL)name remains to all generations.
13 You will (AM)arise and have (AN)compassion on Zion;
For (AO)it is time to be gracious to her,
For the (AP)appointed time has come.
14 Surely Your servants [t]take pleasure in her stones,
And feel pity for her dust.
15 [u]So the [v](AQ)nations will fear the name of the Lord,
And (AR)all the kings of the earth, Your glory.
16 For the Lord has (AS)built up Zion;
He has (AT)appeared in His glory.
17 He has (AU)turned His attention to the prayer of the [w]destitute
And has not despised their prayer.

18 [x]This will be (AV)written for the (AW)generation to come,
[y]That (AX)a people yet to be created [z]may praise [aa]the Lord:
19 For He (AY)looked down from His holy height;
(AZ)From heaven the Lord looked [ab]upon the earth,
20 To hear the (BA)groaning of the prisoner,
To (BB)set free [ac]those who were doomed to death,
21 So that people may (BC)tell of the name of the Lord in Zion,
And His praise in Jerusalem,
22 When (BD)the peoples are gathered together,
And the kingdoms, to serve the Lord.

23 He has broken my strength in the way;
He has (BE)shortened my days.
24 I say, “My God, (BF)do not take me away in the middle of my days,
Your (BG)years are [ad]throughout all generations.
25 In time of old You (BH)founded the earth,
And the (BI)heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 [ae]Even they will (BJ)perish, but You endure;
All of them will wear out like a garment;
Like clothing You will change them and they will pass away.
27 But You are [af](BK)the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.
28 The (BL)children of Your servants will continue,
And their [ag](BM)descendants will be established before You.”

Praise for the Lords Mercies.

A Psalm of David.

103 (BN)Bless the Lord, my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His (BO)holy name.
Bless the Lord, my soul,
And (BP)do not forget any of His benefits;
Who (BQ)pardons all your guilt,
Who (BR)heals all your diseases;
Who (BS)redeems your life from the pit,
Who (BT)crowns you with favor and compassion;
Who (BU)satisfies your [ah]years with good things,
So that your youth is (BV)renewed like the eagle.

The Lord (BW)performs [ai]righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are (BX)oppressed.
He (BY)made known His ways to Moses,
His (BZ)deeds to the sons of Israel.
The Lord is (CA)compassionate and gracious,
(CB)Slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
He (CC)will not always contend with us,
Nor will He (CD)keep His anger forever.
10 He has (CE)not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our guilty deeds.
11 For as high (CF)as the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who [aj]fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He (CG)removed our wrongdoings from us.
13 Just (CH)as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who [ak]fear Him.
14 For (CI)He Himself knows [al]our form;
He (CJ)is mindful that we are nothing but (CK)dust.

15 As for man, his days are (CL)like grass;
Like a (CM)flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 When the (CN)wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its (CO)place no longer knows about it.
17 But the [am](CP)mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who [an]fear Him,
And His justice (CQ)to the children’s children,
18 To (CR)those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts, so as to do them.

19 The Lord has established His (CS)throne in the heavens,
And His [ao](CT)sovereignty rules over [ap]all.
20 Bless the Lord, you (CU)His angels,
(CV)Mighty in strength, who (CW)perform His word,
(CX)Obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all you (CY)His [aq]angels,
You (CZ)who serve Him, doing His will.
22 Bless the Lord, (DA)all you works of His,
In all places of His dominion;
Bless the Lord, my soul!
