为王祈祷
72 所罗门的诗。
1 神啊，求你将判断的权柄赐给王，将公义赐给王的儿子。
2 他要按公义审判你的民，按公平审判你的困苦人。
3 大山小山，都要因公义使民得享平安。
4 他必为民中的困苦人申冤，拯救穷乏之辈，压碎那欺压人的。
5 太阳还存，月亮还在，人要敬畏你，直到万代。
6 他必降临，像雨降在已割的草地上，如甘霖滋润田地。
7 在他的日子义人要发旺，大有平安，好像月亮长存。
8 他要执掌权柄，从这海直到那海，从大河直到地极。
9 住在旷野的必在他面前下拜，他的仇敌必要舔土。
10 他施和海岛的王要进贡，示巴和西巴的王要献礼物。
11 诸王都要叩拜他，万国都要侍奉他。
12 因为穷乏人呼求的时候，他要搭救；没有人帮助的困苦人，他也要搭救。
13 他要怜恤贫寒和穷乏的人，拯救穷苦人的性命。
14 他要救赎他们脱离欺压和强暴，他们的血在他眼中看为宝贵，
15 他们要存活。示巴的金子要奉给他，人要常常为他祷告，终日称颂他。
16 在地的山顶上五谷必然茂盛[a]，所结的谷实要响动如黎巴嫩的树林，城里的人要发旺如地上的草。
17 他的名要存到永远，要留传如日之久。人要因他蒙福，万国要称他有福。
18 独行奇事的耶和华以色列的神是应当称颂的！
19 他荣耀的名也当称颂，直到永远！愿他的荣耀充满全地！阿门，阿门。
20 耶西的儿子大卫的祈祷完毕。

American Standard Version
The reign of the righteous king.
A Psalm of Solomon.
72 Give the king thy judgments, O God,
And thy righteousness unto the king’s son.
2 [a]He will judge thy people with righteousness,
And thy poor with justice.
3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people,
And the hills, in righteousness.
4 He will judge the poor of the people,
He will save the children of the needy,
And will break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear thee while the sun endureth,
And [b]so long as the moon, throughout all generations.
6 He will come down like rain upon the mown grass,
As showers that water the earth.
7 In his days shall the righteous flourish,
And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,
And from the River unto the ends of the earth.
9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him;
And his enemies shall lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute:
The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him;
All nations shall serve him.
12 For he will deliver the needy when he crieth,
And the poor, [c]that hath no helper.
13 He will have pity on the [d]poor and needy,
And the souls of the needy he will save.
14 He will redeem their soul from [e]oppression and violence;
And precious will their blood be in his sight:
15 And [f]they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
And men shall pray for him continually;
They shall bless him all the day long.
16 There shall be [g]abundance of grain in the [h]earth upon the top of the mountains;
The fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon:
And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
17 His name shall endure for ever;
His name shall [i]be continued [j]as long as the sun:
And men shall [k]be blessed in him;
All nations shall call him happy.
18 Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel,
Who only doeth wondrous things:
19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever;
And let the whole earth be filled with his glory.
Amen, and Amen.
