⁴ There is a river^(A) whose streams^(B) make glad the city of God,^(C)
    the holy place where the Most High^(D) dwells.^(E)
5 God is within her,^(F) she will not fall;^(G)
    God will help^(H) her at break of day.
⁶ Nations^(I) are in uproar,^(J) kingdoms^(K) fall;
    he lifts his voice,^(L) the earth melts.^(M)

⁷ The Lord Almighty^(N) is with us;^(O)
    the God of Jacob^(P) is our fortress.^(Q)

⁸ Come and see what the Lord has done,^(R)
    the desolations^(S) he has brought on the earth.
⁹ He makes wars^(T) cease
    to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow^(U) and shatters the spear;
    he burns the shields^[a] with fire.^(V)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;^(W)
    I will be exalted^(X) among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”

¹¹ The Lord Almighty is with us;
    the God of Jacob^(Y) is our fortress.^(Z)
