N'ap fè fèt paske ou genyen batay la, n'ap fè lwanj Bondye nou an. Se pou Seyè a ba ou tou sa ou mande l'.

¶ (20:7) Koulye a, mwen konnen Seyè a ap fè moun li chwazi a genyen batay la. Li rete nan syèl la, nan kay ki pou li a, li reponn li. Li fè l' genyen batay la avèk gwo pouvwa li.

(20:8) Gen moun ki mete konfyans yo nan machin pou fè lagè. Gen lòt moun, se nan chwal yo yo mete konfyans yo. Men nou menm, se nan pouvwa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, nou mete konfyans nou.

(20:9) Yo menm, yo gen pou yo bite, pou yo tonbe. Men nou menm, nou kanpe, n'ap kenbe fèm.

¶ (21:8) Wa a mete konfyans li nan Seyè a.

(21:10) Lè w'a parèt, w'ap detwi yo tankou yon gwo boukan dife. Lè Seyè a ankòlè, se fini l'ap fini ak yo, dife ap boule yo nèt.

10 (21:11) W'ap disparèt tout pitit yo sou latè, w'ap disparèt tout ras yo pami lèzòm.

11 (21:12) Y'ap fè move plan, y'ap fè konplo sou wa a, men sa p'ap mache pou yo.

Tout moun ap meprize m', tout moun ap pase m' nan betiz.

Yo tankou gwo towo bèf peyi Bazan. Kote m' vire yo la.

13 (22:14) Yo louvri bouch yo, ou ta di se lyon k'ap gwonde, ki prèt pou dechire mwen.

14 (22:15) Mwen pèdi tout fòs mwen, tankou dlo ki tonbe atè. Tout zo nan kò m' dejwente. Mwen santi kè m' ap kase, tout zantray mwen ap bouyi.

15 (22:16) Fòs mwen ap cheche, tankou labou nan solèy. Lang mwen kole nan fon bouch mwen. Mwen santi m' prèt pou mouri.

16 (22:17) Tankou yon bann chen, mechan yo sènen m'. Bann mechan yo fèmen m' toupatou. Yo kraze de men m' ak de pye m' yo.

17 (22:18) Tout zo nan kò m' parèt. Y'ap gade m', y'ap veye m'.

18 (22:19) Y'ap separe rad mwen ant yo menm, y'ap tire osò pou rad mwen an.

20 (22:21) Pa kite yo touye m' ak kout nepe. Pa kite chen yo devore m'.

21 (22:22) Wete m' nan bouch lyon yo.

Moun k'ap chache Seyè a va fè lwanj li. Y'a viv ak kè poze pou tout tan.

27 (22:28) Tout nasyon va chonje sa Seyè a te fè. Toupatou sou latè yo pral tounen vin jwenn li. Moun tout peyi va adore li.

28 (22:29) Se Seyè a ki wa. Se li ki donminen sou tout nasyon.

29 (22:30) Tout grannèg sou latè va bese tèt devan li. Yo tout ki la pou mouri, yo tout ki la pou al anba tè, yo pral adore li.

30 (22:31) Jenerasyon k'ap vini yo va sèvi li. Moun va rakonte istwa Seyè a bay pitit yo.

31 (22:32) Pitit yo menm, lè y'a fè pitit, y'a fè konnen jan Seyè a te delivre yo ansanm ak tou sa li te fè pou yo.

Psalm 20[a]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;(A)
may the name of the God of Jacob(B) protect you.(C)
May he send you help(D) from the sanctuary(E)
and grant you support(F) from Zion.(G)
May he remember(H) all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.[b](I)
May he give you the desire of your heart(J)
and make all your plans succeed.(K)
May we shout for joy(L) over your victory
and lift up our banners(M) in the name of our God.

May the Lord grant all your requests.(N)

Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.(O)
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.(P)
Some trust in chariots(Q) and some in horses,(R)
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.(S)
They are brought to their knees and fall,(T)
but we rise up(U) and stand firm.(V)
Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us(W) when we call!

Psalm 21[c]

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

The king rejoices in your strength, Lord.(X)
How great is his joy in the victories you give!(Y)

You have granted him his heart’s desire(Z)
and have not withheld the request of his lips.[d]
You came to greet him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold(AA) on his head.(AB)
He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
length of days, for ever and ever.(AC)
Through the victories(AD) you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.(AE)
Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy(AF) of your presence.(AG)
For the king trusts in the Lord;(AH)
through the unfailing love(AI) of the Most High(AJ)
    he will not be shaken.(AK)

Your hand will lay hold(AL) on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.
When you appear for battle,
you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
and his fire will consume them.(AM)
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
    their posterity from mankind.(AN)
11 Though they plot evil(AO) against you
and devise wicked schemes,(AP) they cannot succeed.
12 You will make them turn their backs(AQ)
when you aim at them with drawn bow.

13 Be exalted(AR) in your strength, Lord;(AS)
we will sing and praise your might.

Psalm 22[e]

For the director of music. To the tune of “The Doe of the Morning.” A psalm of David.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?(AT)
Why are you so far(AU) from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?(AV)
My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer,(AW)
    by night,(AX) but I find no rest.[f]

Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;(AY)
you are the one Israel praises.[g](AZ)
In you our ancestors put their trust;
they trusted and you delivered them.(BA)
To you they cried out(BB) and were saved;
in you they trusted(BC) and were not put to shame.(BD)

But I am a worm(BE) and not a man,
scorned by everyone,(BF) despised(BG) by the people.
All who see me mock me;(BH)
they hurl insults,(BI) shaking their heads.(BJ)
“He trusts in the Lord,” they say,
    “let the Lord rescue him.(BK)
Let him deliver him,(BL)
    since he delights(BM) in him.”

Yet you brought me out of the womb;(BN)
you made me trust(BO) in you, even at my mother’s breast.
10 From birth(BP) I was cast on you;
from my mother’s womb you have been my God.

11 Do not be far from me,(BQ)
    for trouble is near(BR)
and there is no one to help.(BS)

12 Many bulls(BT) surround me;(BU)
strong bulls of Bashan(BV) encircle me.
13 Roaring lions(BW) that tear their prey(BX)
open their mouths wide(BY) against me.
14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.(BZ)
My heart has turned to wax;(CA)
    it has melted(CB) within me.
15 My mouth[h] is dried up like a potsherd,(CC)
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;(CD)
you lay me in the dust(CE) of death.

16 Dogs(CF) surround me,
    a pack of villains encircles me;
they pierce[i](CG) my hands and my feet.
17 All my bones are on display;
people stare(CH) and gloat over me.(CI)
18 They divide my clothes among them
and cast lots(CJ) for my garment.(CK)

19 But you, Lord, do not be far from me.(CL)
You are my strength;(CM) come quickly(CN) to help me.(CO)
20 Deliver me from the sword,(CP)
my precious life(CQ) from the power of the dogs.(CR)
21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions;(CS)
save me from the horns of the wild oxen.(CT)

22 I will declare your name to my people;
    in the assembly(CU) I will praise you.(CV)
23 You who fear the Lord, praise him!(CW)
All you descendants of Jacob, honor him!(CX)
Revere him,(CY) all you descendants of Israel!
24 For he has not despised(CZ) or scorned
the suffering of the afflicted one;(DA)
he has not hidden his face(DB) from him
but has listened to his cry for help.(DC)

25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly;(DD)
before those who fear you[j] I will fulfill my vows.(DE)
26 The poor will eat(DF) and be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord will praise him—(DG)
    may your hearts live forever!

27 All the ends of the earth(DH)
will remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
    will bow down before him,(DI)
28 for dominion belongs to the Lord(DJ)

29 All the rich(DK) of the earth will feast and worship;(DL)
all who go down to the dust(DM) will kneel before him—
those who cannot keep themselves alive.(DN)
30 Posterity(DO) will serve him;
future generations(DP) will be told about the Lord.
31 They will proclaim his righteousness,(DQ)
declaring to a people yet unborn:(DR)
    He has done it!(DS)

21 ¶ Apre nou fin kite yo, nou pati sou batiman an. Nou fè k'ap tou dwat sou Kòs. Yon jou apre, nou te rive Wòd. Soti la, n' ale Patara.

La, nou jwenn yon batiman ki tapral peyi Finisi, nou moute abò l' epi nou pati.

Nou rive toupre lil Chip. Antan nou nan batiman an, nou te ka wè l' toupre konsa. Men, nou pase anba l' sou bò dwat li, nou fè k'ap pou peyi Siri.

Nou moute abò, yo menm yo tounen lakay yo.

Nou soti lavil Tir nou rive lavil Tolemayis, se la nou fini vwayaj sou lanmè a. N' al di frè ki te la yo bonjou, nou pase yon jou avèk yo.

¶ Nan denmen, nou pati ankò, nou rive lavil Sezare. Nou antre lakay Filip, evanjelis la, nou fè ladesant la.

11 Li vin jwenn nou. Li pran sentiwon ki te nan ren Pòl la, li mare de pye pa l' ak de men pa l' yo, epi li di: Men sa Sentespri deklare: Se konsa jwif Jerizalèm yo pral mare mèt sentiwon sa a; apre sa, y'ap lage l' nan men moun lòt nasyon yo.

12 Lè nou tande sa, nou menm ansanm ak tout moun Sezare yo t'ap di Pòl konsa: Tanpri souple, pa moute Jerizalèm.

13 Men, li reponn nou: Poukisa pou n'ap kriye konsa, pou n'ap chache kraze kouraj mwen konsa?

On to Jerusalem

21 After we(A) had torn ourselves away from them, we put out to sea and sailed straight to Kos. The next day we went to Rhodes and from there to Patara. We found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia,(B) went on board and set sail. After sighting Cyprus and passing to the south of it, we sailed on to Syria.(C) We landed at Tyre, where our ship was to unload its cargo. We sought out the disciples(D) there and stayed with them seven days. Through the Spirit(E) they urged Paul not to go on to Jerusalem. When it was time to leave, we left and continued on our way. All of them, including wives and children, accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray.(F) After saying goodbye to each other, we went aboard the ship, and they returned home.

We continued our voyage from Tyre(G) and landed at Ptolemais, where we greeted the brothers and sisters(H) and stayed with them for a day. Leaving the next day, we reached Caesarea(I) and stayed at the house of Philip(J) the evangelist,(K) one of the Seven. He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.(L)

10 After we had been there a number of days, a prophet named Agabus(M) came down from Judea. 11 Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, “The Holy Spirit says,(N) ‘In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind(O) the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’”(P)

12 When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, “Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die(Q) in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”(R) 14 When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up(S) and said, “The Lord’s will be done.”(T)

15 After this, we started on our way up to Jerusalem.(U) 16 Some of the disciples from Caesarea(V) accompanied us and brought us to the home of Mnason, where we were to stay. He was a man from Cyprus(W) and one of the early disciples.

Paul’s Arrival at Jerusalem

17 When we arrived at Jerusalem, the brothers and sisters(X) received us warmly.(Y)
