30 “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate(A) them so they may serve me as priests.(B) 31 Say to the Israelites, ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil(C) for the generations to come.(D) 32 Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred.(E) 33 Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off(F) from their people.’”

31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, “The Lord has not chosen these.” 11 So he asked Jesse, “Are these all(A) the sons you have?”
“There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep.”(B)
Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.”
12 So he(C) sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome(D) features.
Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”
13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed(E) him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord(F) came powerfully upon David.(G) Samuel then went to Ramah.
