Rewards

⁴⁰ “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.^(A)

²⁴ He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”^(A)

³⁷ “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.”^(A)

⁴⁸ and said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me, for the least among all of you is the greatest.”^(A)

³⁴ Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work.^(A)

²⁴ Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and does not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.^(A)

Witnesses to Jesus

³⁰ “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just because I seek to do not my own will but the will of him who sent me.^(A)

³⁶ But I have a testimony greater than John’s. The works that the Father has given me to complete, the very works that I am doing, testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.^{(A) 37} And the Father who sent me has himself testified on my behalf. You have never heard his voice or seen his form,^{(B) 38} and you do not have his word abiding in you, because you do not believe him whom he has sent.^(C)

³⁸ for I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.^(A)
