⁴⁴But I tell you, love your enemies^[a] and pray for those who^[b] persecute you,^(A) ⁴⁵so that you may be^[c] children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.^(B)
