³⁵“No!” Peter insisted. “Even if I have to die with you, I will never deny you!” And all the other disciples vowed the same.

The Voice

Peter: ³⁵No! I won’t deny You. Even if that means I have to die with You!

And each of the disciples echoed Peter.

³⁵Peter said to Jesus, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And all the disciples said the same thing.

³⁵Peter protested, “Even if I had to die with you, I would never deny you.” All the others said the same thing.

³⁵But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you,^(A) I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.
