³⁸ And He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your ^[a]hearts? ^39 (A)See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; ^(B)touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” ⁴⁰ And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

²² For we know that the whole creation ^(A)groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. ^23 (B)And not only this, but also we ourselves, having ^(C)the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves ^(D)groan within ourselves, ^(E)waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, ^(F)the redemption of our body. ²⁴ For ^(G)in hope we have been saved, but ^(H)hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?

²⁰ For ^(A)our ^[a]citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly ^(B)wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; ²¹ who will ^(C)transform ^[b]the body of our humble state into ^(D)conformity with ^[c]the ^(E)body of His glory, ^(F)by the exertion of the power that He has even to ^(G)subject all things to Himself.

^42 (A)So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown ^[a](B)a perishable body, it is raised ^[b](C)an imperishable body; ⁴³ it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in ^(D)glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; ⁴⁴ it is sown a ^(E)natural body, it is raised a ^(F)spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. ⁴⁵ So also it is written, “The first ^(G)man, Adam, became a living soul.” The ^(H)last Adam became a ^(I)life-giving spirit. ⁴⁶ However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. ⁴⁷ The first man is ^(J)from the earth, ^[c](K)earthy; the second man is from heaven. ⁴⁸ As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, ^(L)so also are those who are heavenly. ⁴⁹ Just as we have ^(M)borne the image of the earthy, ^[d]we ^(N)will also bear the image of the heavenly.
