¹³ Then Gideon said, “·Sir [My lord], if the Lord is with us, why ·are we having so much trouble [^Lhas all this happened to us]? Where are the ·miracles [wonderful deeds] our ancestors told us about? They said, “Didn’t the Lord bring us up out of Egypt? But now the Lord has ·left [abandoned] us and has ·handed us over to the Midianites [^Lgiven us into the hand of Midian].”
