31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming(A) and in fact has come when you will be scattered,(B) each to your own home. You will leave me all alone.(C) Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.(D)
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.(E) In this world you will have trouble.(F) But take heart! I have overcome(G) the world.”

Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me. 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

31-33 Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”
