John 14:12-19

¹²“Truly, truly, I say to you, ^(A)whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I ^(B)am going to the Father. ¹³^(C)Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that ^(D)the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴^(E)If you ask me^[a] anything in my name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

¹⁵^(F)“If you love me, you will ^(G)keep my commandments. ¹⁶And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another ^(H)Helper,^[b] to be with you forever, ¹⁷even ^(I)the Spirit of truth, ^(J)whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and ^(K)will be^[c] in you.

¹⁸“I will not leave you as orphans; ^(L)I will come to you. ¹⁹^(M)Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but ^(N)you will see me. ^(O)Because I live, you also will live.
