⁵You have decided the length of our lives.
You know how many months we will live,
and we are not given a minute longer.

⁵A person’s days are determined;^(A)
you have decreed the number of his months^(B)
and have set limits he cannot exceed.^(C)

⁵Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
