15 And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah, (A)the Lord has not sent you, (B)and you have made this people trust in a lie. 16 Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, (C)because you have uttered rebellion against the Lord.’”
17 In that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died.

15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent(A) you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies.(B) 16 Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I am about to remove you from the face of the earth.(C) This very year you are going to die,(D) because you have preached rebellion(E) against the Lord.’”
17 In the seventh month of that same year, Hananiah the prophet died.(F)
