²⁸ People of Jacob, my servants, do not be afraid,
    because I am with you,” says the Lord.
“I will ·completely destroy the many different [^Lmake an end of all the] nations
    where I ·scattered [drove] you.
    But I will not ·completely destroy [^Lmake an end of] you.
I will ·punish [chastise; discipline] you ·fairly [with justice],
    but I will not let you escape your punishment.”
