James 4:6-11
English Standard Version Anglicised
6 But (A)he gives more grace. Therefore it says, (B)“God opposes the proud, but (C)gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. (D)Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 (E)Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. (F)Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and (G)purify your hearts, (H)you double-minded. 9 (I)Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 (J)Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
11 (K)Do not speak evil against one another, brothers.[a] The one who speaks against a brother or (L)judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

James 4:6-11
New International Version
6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil,(B) and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you.(C) Wash your hands,(D) you sinners, and purify your hearts,(E) you double-minded.(F) 9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.(G) 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.(H)
11 Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another.(I) Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister[b] or judges them(J) speaks against the law(K) and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it,(L) but sitting in judgment on it.
