Isaiah 42:22-25

New International Version

²³ Which of you will listen to this
    or pay close attention^(E) in time to come?
²⁴ Who handed Jacob over to become loot,
    and Israel to the plunderers?^(F)
Was it not the Lord,^(G)
    against whom we have sinned?
For they would not follow^(H) his ways;
    they did not obey his law.^(I)
25 So he poured out on them his burning anger,^(J)
    the violence of war.
It enveloped them in flames,^(K) yet they did not understand;^(L)
    it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.^(M)
