^14 (A)Justice is turned back,
And ^(B)righteousness stands far away;
For truth has stumbled in the street,
And uprightness cannot enter.
¹⁵ Truth is lacking,
And one who turns aside from evil ^(C)makes himself a prey.
Now the Lord saw,
And it was ^[a]displeasing in His sight ^(D)that there was no justice.

²⁷ An ^(A)unjust person is an abomination to the righteous,
And one who is ^(B)upright in the way is an abomination to the wicked.

¹⁰ People of ^(A)bloodshed hate the blameless person,
But the upright ^[a]are concerned for his life.
