Isaiah 11:1-5
New American Standard Bible
Righteous Reign of the Branch
11 Then a (A)shoot will spring from the (B)stem of Jesse,
And a (C)Branch from (D)his roots will bear fruit.
2 The (E)Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him,
The spirit of (F)wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and (G)strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 And He will delight in the fear of the Lord,
And He will not judge by what His eyes (H)see,
Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;
4 But with (I)righteousness He will judge the (J)poor,
And decide with fairness for the (K)humble of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the (L)rod of His mouth,
And with the (M)breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
5 Also (N)righteousness will be the belt around His hips,
And (O)faithfulness the belt around His waist.
1 Samuel 16:6-7

6 When they entered, he looked at (A)Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is standing before Him.” 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for [a]God does not see as man sees, since man looks at [b]the outward appearance, (B)but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Matthew 23:23-27
New American Standard Bible
23 “(A)Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and [a]cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. 24 You (B)blind guides, who [b]strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For (C)you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full [c]of robbery and self-indulgence. 26 You blind Pharisee, first (D)clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the [d]outside of it may also become clean.
27 “(E)Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.
