25 choosing rather to suffer affliction along with the people of God than to have [the] temporary pleasure of sin;

26 esteeming the reproach of the Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he had respect to the recompense.

25 He chose to be mistreated(A) along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace(B) for the sake of Christ(C) as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.(D)
