A Better Ministry

8 Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a ^(A)high priest, who has taken His seat at ^(B)the right hand of the throne of the ^(C)Majesty in the heavens,

¹¹ But when Christ appeared as a ^(A)high priest of the ^(B)good things ^[a]to come, He entered through ^(C)the greater and more perfect ^[b]tabernacle, ^(D)not made with hands, that is to say, ^(E)not of this creation; ¹² and not through ^(F)the blood of goats and calves, but ^(G)through His own blood, He ^(H)entered the holy place ^(I)once for all, ^[c]having obtained ^(J)eternal redemption. ¹³ For if ^(K)the blood of goats and bulls and ^(L)the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the ^[d]cleansing of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will ^(M)the blood of Christ, who through ^[e](N)the eternal Spirit ^(O)offered Himself without blemish to God, ^(P)cleanse ^[f]your conscience from ^(Q)dead works to serve ^(R)the living God?

²⁴ For Christ ^(A)did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of ^(B)the true one, but into ^(C)heaven itself, now ^(D)to appear in the presence of God for us;

A New and Living Way

¹⁹ Therefore, brethren, since we ^(A)have confidence to ^(B)enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by ^(C)a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through ^(D)the veil, that is, His flesh, ²¹ and since we have ^(E)a great priest ^(F)over the house of God, ²² let us ^(G)draw near with a ^[a]sincere heart in ^(H)full assurance of faith, having our hearts ^(I)sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies ^(J)washed with pure water.
