Genesis 22:7-8

New King James Version

⁷But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”

And he said, “Here I am, my son.”

Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the ^[a]lamb for a burnt offering?”

⁸And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the ^(A)lamb for a ^(B)burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.

⁷Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”

“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.

“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb^(A) for the burnt offering?”

⁸Abraham answered, “God himself will provide^(B) the lamb^(C) for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
