⁵ Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that ^(A)every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

¹¹ Now the earth was ^(A)corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was ^(B)filled with violence. ¹² God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for ^(C)all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

¹³ Then God said to Noah, “^(D)The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth.

³⁸ For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, ^(A)marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that ^(B)Noah entered the ark,

⁷ By faith ^(A)Noah, being ^(B)warned by God about ^(C)things not yet seen, ^[a](D)in reverence ^(E)prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of ^(F)the righteousness which is according to faith.

⁵ and did not spare ^(A)the ancient world, but preserved ^(B)Noah, a ^[a]preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a ^(C)flood upon the world of the ungodly;
