15 Then God spoke to Noah, saying, 16 “Go out of the ark, (A)you and your wife, and your sons and your sons’ wives with you. 17 Bring out with you every living thing of all flesh that is with you: birds and cattle and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, so that they may abound on the earth, and (B)be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” 18 So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him. 19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.
God’s Covenant with Creation
20 Then Noah built an (C)altar to the Lord, and took of (D)every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered (E)burnt offerings on the altar. 21 And the Lord smelled (F)a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again (G)curse the ground for man’s sake, although the (H)imagination[a] of man’s heart is evil from his youth; (I)nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
22 “While the earth (J)remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And (K)day and night
Shall not cease.”
God’s Promise to Noah
9 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: (L)“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. 2 (M)And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 (N)Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you (O)all things, even as the (P)green herbs. 4 (Q)But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; (R)from the hand of every beast I will require it, and (S)from the hand of man. From the hand of every (T)man’s brother I will require the life of man.
6 “Whoever (U)sheds man’s blood,
By man his blood shall be shed;
(V)For in the image of God
He made man.
7 And as for you, (W)be fruitful and multiply;
Bring forth abundantly in the earth
And multiply in it.”

18 So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.(C) 19 All the animals and all the creatures that move along the ground and all the birds—everything that moves on land—came out of the ark, one kind after another.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord(D) and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean(E) birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings(F) on it. 21 The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma(G) and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground(H) because of humans, even though[a] every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood.(I) And never again will I destroy(J) all living creatures,(K) as I have done.
22 “As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest,(L)
cold and heat,
summer and winter,(M)
day and night
will never cease.”(N)
God’s Covenant With Noah
9 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.(O) 2 The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.(P) 3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you.(Q) Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.(R)
4 “But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.(S) 5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting.(T) I will demand an accounting from every animal.(U) And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.(V)
6 “Whoever sheds human blood,
by humans shall their blood be shed;(W)
for in the image of God(X)
has God made mankind.
7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”(Y)

21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
9 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
