Ephesians 5:13-17

13 But all things become visible (A)when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. 14 For this reason [a]it says,

“(B)Awake, sleeper,
And arise from (C)the dead,
And Christ (D)will shine on you.”

15 So then, [b]be careful how you (E)walk, not (F)as unwise people but as wise, 16 [c](G)making the most of your time, because (H)the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but (I)understand what the will of the Lord is.

13 But everything exposed by the light(A) becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,(B)
    rise from the dead,(C)
    and Christ will shine on you.”(D)

15 Be very careful, then, how you live(E)—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity,(F) because the days are evil.(G) 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.(H)
