The Fellowship of the Believers

⁴² They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching^(A) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread^(B) and to prayer.^(C)

⁴⁷ praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.^(A) And the Lord added to their number^(B) daily those who were being saved.

Peter Heals a Lame Beggar

3 One day Peter and John^(A) were going up to the temple^(B) at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon.^(C)

¹¹ Great fear^(A) seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

The Apostles Heal Many

¹² The apostles performed many signs and wonders^(B) among the people. And all the believers used to meet together^(C) in Solomon’s Colonnade.^{(D) 13} No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.^(E)

¹⁹ But during the night an angel^(A) of the Lord opened the doors of the jail^(B) and brought them out.^{(C) 20} “Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”^(D)
