56 Az éneklõmesternek a Jónathelem rehokimra; Dávidnak miktámja; mikor megragadták õt a filiszteusok Gáthban.
2 Könyörülj rajtam Istenem, mert halandó tátog ellenem és mindennap hadakozván, nyomorgat engem!
3 Ellenségeim minden napon tátognak reám: bizony sokan hadakoznak ellenem, oh magasságos [Isten!]
4 Mikor félnem kellene is, én bízom te benned.
5 Isten által dicsekedem az õ igéjével; az Istenben bizom, nem félek; ember mit árthatna nékem?
6 Minden nap elforgatják beszédeimet; minden gondolatjok ellenem van, ártalomra.
7 Egybegyûlnek, elrejtõznek, sarkaimat lesik, mert kivánják az én lelkemet.
8 Gonoszsággal menekedhetnének? Haraggal rontsd meg, oh Isten, a népeket!
9 Bujdosásomnak számát jól tudod: szedd tömlõdbe könnyeimet! Avagy nem tudod-é azoknak számát?
10 Meghátrálnak majd ellenségeim, mikor kiáltok; így tudom meg, hogy velem van az Isten.
11 Dicsérem Istent, az õ ígéretéért, dicsérem az Urat az õ igéretéért.
12 Istenben bízom, nem félek; ember mit árthatna nékem?
13 Tartozom, oh Isten, az én néked tett fogadásaimmal; megadom néked a hálaáldozatokat;
14 Mert megszabadítottad lelkemet a haláltól, bizony az én lábaimat az eleséstõl; hogy járjak Isten elõtt az életnek világosságában.

56 上帝啊，求你憐憫我，
因為仇敵攻擊我，整日迫害我。
2 我的仇敵整日攻擊我，
許多人狂妄地迫害我。
3 我害怕的時候，
仍要倚靠你。
4 我讚美上帝的應許，
我信靠祂，就不懼怕，
區區世人能把我怎樣？
5 他們整天歪曲我的話，
總是圖謀害我。
6 他們勾結起來，
暗中監視我的行蹤，
伺機害我。
7 上帝啊，
不要讓這些作惡的人逃脫，
求你在怒中毀滅他們。
8 你知道我的哀傷，
你把我的眼淚收在袋中。
我的遭遇都記錄在你的冊子上。
9 我向你求救的時候，
敵人都落荒而逃。
我知道上帝是我的幫助。
10 我因上帝的應許而讚美祂，
我因耶和華的應許而讚美祂。
11 我信靠上帝，就不懼怕，
區區世人能把我怎樣？

我要恪守向你發的誓言，

56 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
10 In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.
11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
