5 Az éneklõmesternek a nehilótra, Dávid zsoltára.
2 Uram, figyelmezz szavaimra; értsd meg az én sóhajtásomat!
3 Ügyelj az én kiáltásom szavára, én Királyom és én Istenem; mert én hozzád imádkozom!
4 Uram, jó reggel hallgasd meg az én szómat; jó reggel készülök hozzád és vigyázok.
5 Mert nem olyan Isten vagy te, a ki hamisságban gyönyörködnél; nem lakhatik tenálad gonosz.
6 Nem állhatnak meg szemeid elõtt a kevélyek, gyûlölsz te minden bûnt cselekedõt.
7 Elveszted, a kik hazugságot szólnak; a vérszopó és álnok embert útálja az Úr.
8 Én pedig a te kegyelmed sokaságából házadba mehetek; leborulok szent templomodban a te félelmedben.
9 Uram, vezess engem a te igazságodban az én ellenségeim miatt; egyengesd elõttem a te útadat!
10 Mert nincsen az õ szájokban egyenesség, belsejök csupa romlottság; nyitott sír az õ torkuk, nyelvökkel hizelkednek.
11 Kárhoztasd õket, oh Isten; essenek el saját tanácsaik által; taszítsd el õket vétkeik sokasága miatt, mert fellázadtak ellened.
12 És majd örülnek mindnyájan, a kik bíznak benned; mindörökké vígadjanak, és te megoltalmazod õket, és örvendeznek te benned, a kik szeretik a te nevedet.
13 Mert te, Uram, megáldod az igazat, körülveszed a te jóvoltoddal, mint egy paizszsal.

5 Örökkévaló, hallgass meg, kérlek!
Értsd meg gondolataimat!
2 Halld meg kiáltásomat, Királyom, Istenem,
mert hozzád imádkozom!
3 Reggelente hozzád imádkozom,
eléd terítem dolgaimat,
s reménykedve várok válaszodra!
4-5 Istenem, te gyűlölöd a gonoszokat,
nem is lakhatnak jelenlétedben.
Az ostoba és öntelt[a] emberek
meg nem állhatnak előtted,
utálod a gonosztevőket.
6 Bizony, elpusztulnak mind a hazugok!
Az Örökkévaló gyűlöli a vérszomjas gyilkosokat,
akik titkon gonosz terveket szőnek.
7 De én kegyelmed bőségéből
házadba léphetek,
tisztelettel és félelemmel borulok le előtted
szent Templomodban.
8 Örökkévaló, erősíts meg jóságoddal,
védj meg ellenségeimtől!
Készíts számomra utat,
amelyen járhatok!
9 Mert ők csak hazugságot beszélnek,
belsejük tele van pusztítással,
nyitott sírgödör a torkuk,
hízelgő nyelvük csapdát rejteget.
10 Ó, Istenem, büntesd meg őket!
Saját terveik által essenek el,
bűnhődjenek sok bűnük miatt,
mert fellázadtak ellened!
11 De mind örüljenek, akik benned bíznak,
mindörökké vigadjanak!
Áldd meg, akik szeretik nevedet,
hogy benned örvendezzenek!
12 Örökkévaló, te megáldod az igazakat,
hűséges szereted pajzsként betakarja őket.

5 Give (A)ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my [b]meditation.
2 Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
(B)In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
Nor shall evil [c]dwell with You.
5 The (C)boastful shall not (D)stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the (E)bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward [d]Your holy temple.
8 (F)Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.
9 For there is no [e]faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
(G)Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue.
10 Pronounce them guilty, O God!
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
For they have rebelled against You.
11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You [f]defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
12 For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

1 Listen(A) to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.(B)
2 Hear my cry for help,(C)
my King and my God,(D)
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning,(E) Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.(F)
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people(G) are not welcome.
5 The arrogant(H) cannot stand(I)
in your presence.
You hate(J) all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.(K)
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence(L) I bow down(M)
toward your holy temple.(N)
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness(O)
because of my enemies—
make your way straight(P) before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;(Q)
with their tongues they tell lies.(R)
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,(S)
for they have rebelled(T) against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.(U)
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name(V) may rejoice in you.(W)
