18 “I will gather you who mourn for the appointed festivals;
    you will be disgraced no more.[a]
19 And I will deal severely with all who have oppressed you.
    I will save the weak and helpless ones;
I will bring together

  1. 3:18 The meaning of the Hebrew for this verse is uncertain.

18 I will assemble those who (A)grieve about the appointed feasts—
They were from you, O Zion;
The reproach of exile is a burden on [a]them.
19 Behold, I am going to deal at that time
With all those who (B)afflict you,
And I will save the (C)lame
And gather the banished,
And I will turn them—in their (D)shame—into (E)praise and a name
In all the earth.
20 At that time I will (F)bring you in,
Even at the time when I gather you together;
Indeed, I will give you to be a (G)name and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I (H)restore your fortunes before your eyes,”
Says Yahweh.
