¹⁷ The Lord your God ^(A)in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
^(B)He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”

⁴ For ^(A)the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
^(B)He will beautify the ^[a]humble with salvation.

¹¹ The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy.

^4 (A)You shall no longer be termed ^(B)Forsaken,^[a]
Nor shall your land any more be termed ^(C)Desolate;^[b]
But you shall be called ^[c]Hephzibah, and your land ^[d]Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.
⁵ For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
^(D)So shall your God rejoice over you.

² Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
^(A)‘For ^(B)Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation.’ ”

¹⁵ The Lord has taken away your judgments,
He has cast out your enemy.
^(A)The King of Israel, the Lord, ^(B)is in your midst;
You shall ^[a]see disaster no more.
