¹² I will leave in your midst
^(A)A meek and humble people,
And they shall trust in the name of the Lord.
^13 (B)The remnant of Israel ^(C)shall do no unrighteousness
^(D)And speak no lies,
Nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth;
For ^(E)they shall feed their flocks and lie down,
And no one shall make them afraid.”

2 My son, if you receive my words,
And ^(A)treasure my commands within you,
² So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
And apply your heart to understanding;
³ Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
And lift up your voice for understanding,
^4 (B)If you seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hidden treasures;
^5 (C)Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
And find the knowledge of God.
