11 Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil.
13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.

For all the traders[a] are no more;
all who weigh out silver are cut off.
12 At that time (B)I will search Jerusalem with lamps,
and I will punish the men
(C)who are complacent,[b]
(D)those who say in their hearts,
‘The Lord will not do good,
nor will he do ill.’
13 Their goods shall be (E)plundered,
and their houses laid waste.
(F)Though they build houses,
they shall not inhabit them;
(G)though they plant vineyards,
they shall not drink wine from them.”

alle Geldabwäger werden ausgerottet.
12 Und es wird geschehen, daß ich zu jener Zeit Jerusalem mit Laternen durchsuchen
und darin alle die Leute heimsuchen werde,
die auf ihren Hefen erstarrt sind,
indem sie in ihrem Herzen sagen: «Der Herr wird weder Gutes noch Böses tun!»
13 Ihr Vermögen soll der Plünderung
und ihre Häuser der Verwüstung anheimfallen;
sie werden Häuser bauen und nicht darin wohnen,
Weinberge pflanzen und keinen Wein davon trinken.

though they plant vineyards,
