⁷ The coast shall be for ^(A)the remnant of the house of Judah;
They shall feed their flocks there;
In the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening.
For the Lord their God will ^(B)intervene^[a] for them,
And ^(C)return their captives.

²⁰ At that time ^(A)I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you ^[a]fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,”
Says the Lord.

When the Assyrian comes into our land,
And when he treads in our palaces,
Then we will raise against him
Seven shepherds and eight princely men.
⁶ They shall ^[b]waste with the sword the land of Assyria,
And the land of ^(F)Nimrod at its entrances;
Thus He shall ^(G)deliver us from the Assyrian,
When he comes into our land
And when he treads within our borders.

⁷ I will make the lame ^(A)a remnant,
And the outcast a strong nation;
So the Lord ^(B)will reign over them in Mount Zion
From now on, even forever.

¹² “I^(A) will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob,
I will surely gather the remnant of Israel;
I will put them together ^(B)like sheep of ^[a]the fold,
Like a flock in the midst of their pasture;
^(C)They shall make a loud noise because of so many people.

^14 (A)I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
^(B)They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
¹⁵ I will plant them in their land,
^(C)And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.
