Zechariah 7:11-14
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition
11 But they refused to listen and turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears in order not to hear.(A) 12 They made their hearts adamant in order not to hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.(B) 13 Just as, when I[a] called, they would not hear, so, when they called, I would not hear, says the Lord of hosts,(C) 14 and I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known. Thus the land they left was desolate, so that no one went to and fro, and a pleasant land was made desolate.”(D)

Christian Standard Bible
11 But they refused to pay attention(A) and turned a stubborn shoulder; they closed their ears so they could not hear.(B) 12 They made their hearts like a rock so as not to obey the law or the words that the Lord of Armies had sent by his Spirit through the earlier prophets.(C) Therefore intense anger came from the Lord of Armies. 13 Just as he had called, and they would not listen, so when they called, I would not listen, says the Lord of Armies. 14 I scattered them with a windstorm over all the nations that had not known them, and the land was left desolate behind them, with no one coming or going. They turned a pleasant land into a desolation.”
