5 Je levai de nouveau les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait un rouleau qui volait.
2 Il me dit: Que vois-tu? Je répondis: Je vois un rouleau qui vole; il a vingt coudées de longueur, et dix coudées de largeur.
3 Et il me dit: C'est la malédiction qui se répand sur tout le pays; car selon elle tout voleur sera chassé d'ici, et selon elle tout parjure sera chassé d'ici.
4 Je la répands, dit l'Éternel des armées, afin qu'elle entre dans la maison du voleur et de celui qui jure faussement en mon nom, afin qu'elle y établisse sa demeure, et qu'elle la consume avec le bois et les pierres.
5 L'ange qui parlait avec moi s'avança, et il me dit: Lève les yeux, et regarde ce qui sort là.
6 Je répondis: Qu'est-ce? Et il dit: C'est l'épha qui sort. Il ajouta: C'est leur iniquité dans tout le pays.
7 Et voici, une masse de plomb s'éleva, et il y avait une femme assise au milieu de l'épha.
8 Il dit: C'est l'iniquité. Et il la repoussa dans l'épha, et il jeta sur l'ouverture la masse de plomb.
9 Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, deux femmes parurent. Le vent soufflait dans leurs ailes; elles avaient des ailes comme celles de la cigogne. Elles enlevèrent l'épha entre la terre et le ciel.
10 Je dis à l'ange qui parlait avec moi: Où emportent-elles l'épha?
11 Il me répondit: Elles vont lui bâtir une maison dans le pays de Schinear; et quand elle sera prête, il sera déposé là dans son lieu.

The Flying Scroll
5 I looked again, and there before me was a flying scroll.(A)
2 He asked me, “What do you see?”(B)
I answered, “I see a flying scroll, twenty cubits long and ten cubits wide.[a]”
3 And he said to me, “This is the curse(C) that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief(D) will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely(E) will be banished. 4 The Lord Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely(F) by my name. It will remain in that house and destroy it completely, both its timbers and its stones.(G)’”
The Woman in a Basket
5 Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, “Look up and see what is appearing.”
6 I asked, “What is it?”
He replied, “It is a basket.(H)” And he added, “This is the iniquity[b] of the people throughout the land.”
7 Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! 8 He said, “This is wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed its lead cover down on it.(I)
9 Then I looked up—and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork,(J) and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth.
10 “Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel who was speaking to me.
11 He replied, “To the country of Babylonia[c](K) to build a house(L) for it. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there in its place.”(M)

5 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.
2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.
3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.
4 I will bring it forth, saith the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
5 Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.
6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.
7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.
8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
10 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?
11 And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

5 Я вновь поднял глаза и вижу: передо мною летит свиток.
2 Ангел спросил меня:
– Что ты видишь?
Я ответил:
– Я вижу летящий свиток десяти метров в длину и пяти метров[a] в ширину.
3 Он сказал мне:
– Это проклятие, которое надвигается на всю землю. Как написано на одной стороне, всякий вор будет искоренён, и как написано на другой, будет искоренён всякий, нарушающий клятву. 4 Вечный, Повелитель Сил, возвещает: «Я наведу это проклятие, и оно войдёт в дом вора и в дом того, кто ложно клянётся Моим именем. Оно поселится в его доме и уничтожит его: и дерево его, и камни».
Седьмое видение: женщина в корзине
5 Потом Ангел, говоривший со мной, двинулся вперёд и сказал мне:
– Подними глаза и посмотри, что ты видишь?
6 Я спросил:
– Что это?
Он ответил:
– Это выходит мерная корзина[b], – и добавил: – Она символ того, что происходит по всей стране.[c]
7 Свинцовая крышка поднялась, и вот: в корзине сидит женщина.
8 Он сказал:
– Её зовут Беззаконие, – и бросил её обратно в корзину, и закрыл свинцовой крышкой.
9 Я поднял глаза и вижу: передо мной явились две женщины, и ветер был у них в крыльях. Крылья у них были, как у аиста, и они подняли корзину между небом и землёй.
10 – Куда они несут корзину? – спросил я у Ангела, Который говорил со мной.
11 – В Вавилонию[d], чтобы там построить ей храм. Когда храм будет готов, корзину водрузят там на пьедестал, – ответил Он.
